The Obsidian Treasure Chest is a means to obtain resources without having to harvest them in the world, from monsters or by crafting them.
It can contain more or less basic resources but in no case to obtain mobs’ specific loots.
Behavior
After opening the chest, the player has the choice between recovering all its contents (F) or leave at least one element inside. In the case where the box is emptied, it disappears.
Spawning
Obsidian Treasure Chests rarely appear, randomly, around the players at the Stalactite layer, several chests can appear side by side.
History
Trivia
- Chests are always facing North.
- Chests are non-solid blocks, it’s possible to pass through.
- More common Wood treasure chests are found at the Surface.
- Diamond treasure chests with more interesting rewards are found at the Corruption layer.
