The wooden treasure chest is a means to obtain resources without having to harvest them in the world, from monsters or by crafting them.
They can contain more or less basic resources but in no case to obtain mobs’ specific loots.
Behavior
After opening the chest, the player has the choice between recovering all its contents (F) or leave at least one element inside. In the case where the box is emptied, it disappears.
Spawning
Chests appear at night randomly around the players on the surface, several chests can appear side by side.

- R22 : Can now hold Top Hat, Party Hat et Bow Tie
Trivia
- Chests only spawn at night.
- Chests are always facing North.
- Chests are non-solid blocks, it’s possible to pass through.
- Chests may appear on tall grass. In this case, grass pass through the chest.
- Rarer Obsidian treasure chests are found at the Stalactite layer.
- Diamond treasure chests with more interesting rewards are found at the corruption layer.
